ABOUT

Hi! I'm Abby, and welcome to Glow Fitness!

My goal is to help women find a way to incorporate safe and effective movement solutions into their lives, feel better about themselves, and gain momentum in their health and life.

After I had my two girls, I struggled significantly with fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, weight loss resistance, and stress. After meeting and working with my own health team, I found I was suffering from an autoimmune disorder. I decided I needed to become an expert on my diagnosis, and to learn how to incorporate exercise and movement as a way to help the body heal, and not exacerbate the problem.

Now, since coming back from a 7 year maternity leave (ha!), I love helping women break through their unique health struggles by showing them ways to find time for themselves and reap the rewards throughout all areas of their lives.

I believe women have been at a huge disadvantage in the fitness and health industry. Most of the outdated research has been done on MEN and not women, and most doctors and practitioners have relied on this old data for far too long.

I'm so excited to help YOU get out from under the guilt messages of our time and into realistic real life solutions that build confidence, and maybe even a little muscle!

I offer personal training and dietary guidance that is unique to each clients' needs, including, but not limited to those who...

  • are post-physical therapy patients

  • suffer from autoimmune disorders (Hashimoto's, hypo/hyperthyroid, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)

  • experience painful or intense  menstrual cycles

  • struggle with reproductive issues

  • have back pain/injuries

  • suffer from epilepsy, asthma, or heart issues

  • struggle with pelvic floor issues

  • are pre/postnatal (if you've ever had a baby, you're postnatal!)

  • are older adults

  • are post-menopause ladies

The latest fitness and diet research is showing how women's bodies need to be nurtured and supported more than anything else. That includes tailoring how we eat, live, and move to our cycles and circadian rhythms and getting full blood panels to check thyroid and micronutrient levels.

When we work together, you will also learn how to...

  • incorporate functional movement into your daily life

  • how to NOT over-exercise

  • eat intuitively with the appropriate macronutrients - NO CALORIE COUNTING

  • create a new lifestyle for yourself!

I provide one on one personal training either virtually or in person. I also provide a 6 week program called  The Glow Reset - an in depth, specific, and unique program that enables you to break free from old, unhealthy habits that no longer serve you, and allows you to establish new, more fulfilling and less stressful habits. This isn't a diet, it's a LIFESTYLE.

Abby Branch

Having spent over 14 years in the health & fitness industry, I bring a diverse experience of supporting and nurturing women's health, including autoimmune disorders, physical therapy, women's weight loss, prenatal/postnatal fitness and health, fitness and yoga class instruction, and personal training.

My particular focus on women's health began in 2010, when I worked as an intern at a women's weight loss retreat center in Vermont. After I became certified as an Exercise Physiologist, I moved to Atlanta, GA and worked at the CDC as a Health Fitness Specialist. In 2012, I moved back to my home city, Nashville, TN, and worked in physical therapy as an Exercise Physiologist. I also decided to offer in-home personal training and teach fitness classes part time, which then became full time. I wanted to pursue specifically women in the fitness industry, as I believe they have been at a disadvantage for decades.

In the fall of 2015, my husband Wesley and I decided to venture west to Bellingham, WA. After having our two girls, Rosalyn and Emma, I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder, Hashimoto's, and hypothyroidism. I've spent the last four years dialing in my own health, along with doing extra research and education on autoimmune disorders, insulin, blood sugar balancing, and weight loss.

As a family and with our dog Pip, we love going on adventures like hiking, camping, and low tide exploring.
